Yes, well ego, I imagine, and the unwillingness to admit error is a
powerful driving force among all human beings.

Well, I assume that also. It would be helpful if they spoke up against
the suggestion, though. And realize...I am not saying absolutely that
none of this ever happened...or that a case couldn't be made. What I am
saying is that I haven't seen anything to indicate there is reason to
think that it did, in fact, occur.
And you need to think of the damage this sort of thing can do in
diverting attention away from more relevant and substantial issues.

Yes. I miss Lisa, too. LOL. (NOT).

Hey...you should meet one of the jackasses who I first went to see. I
am not sure why, exactly...but it does seem like the people who
populate the medical profession are, by and large, some of the most
insensitive, uncaring assholes on the planet. Maybe it is because they
have to be dispassionate...I don't know...but they also tend, I suspect
, from professional training, to be extremely cautious and
conservative.

I think there is a severe lesson here about why it is a terrible idea
to allow one person or one clique to so dominate discussion of a
controversy like this. I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about
a free exchange of ideas within science.

Personally...I think there is much more potential in the investigation
of involvement of the Federal government and its reasons for
underplaying the nature and extent of this disease, than any possible
financial wrongdoing.
What is the larger issue here is simply the role of the federal
government and "former" government officers in directing how individual
physicians diagnose and treat disease.
In essence, the very nature of the doctor-patient relationship is being
interfered with, in my opinion, by the Federal government.
This is far more important than any of Kathleen's disturbed ravings.
