Actually that's incorrect.

They never used Thermite to melt through the beams of the WTC.
And it would never work anyway.

They used Thermate instead, which is a mixture of thermite with sulphur.
That works fine. Burns through thick steel beams in a jiffy. 2000 LBS per
tower was all that's needed.

The squibs indicated the use of high explosives to finish it off at just the
right time.

That explains the molten steel days after the event (it was even dripping
out of a corner of the WTC before the collapse).
Not to mention the seismic and witness evidence of a massive explosion in
the basement, to compromise the structural integrity of the foundation.
