I am not arguing against a general awareness issue, I am explaining to you
that the uk.local.isle of wight [along with ALL the other uk.local groups]
are forums for LOCAL issues. Not UK issues. Not US issues. Not World
issues.
They are populated by people who wish to discuss LOCAL issues. There are
hundreds of other NG forums in the UK for broader issues and to which you
could 'should' address your concerns.
As I pointed out, there are clear guidelines and a charter for posting to
uk.local.isle of wight and your postings are in clear contraventions of that
charter.
You might not like them but why not just comply with the 'rules', so to
speak.
As I further pointed out, all your approach does is to alienate people that
otherwise may have been a supporter of your cause.
For you, it's a lose/lose situation.
Get the right forum... and you might gain some support; as you've seen from
replies from many of the groups you have chosen to post to, most people are
very hostile to your approach simply because it is not part of the specific
interest of that group [note, I say specific, not general social conscience
stuff].
You've already lost me on this and I have to tell you I'm a pretty left
wing, socially aware activist, working for an NGO on womens issues
worldwide. If you cannot encompass me you are going to have some serious
problems with some others, get your cause absolutely no exposure, no support
and be generally regarded as a troll and a nuisance.
One other thing, have you not learned how to 'cut' replies?
Your postings of 50kbs and more are unforgivable frankly......
