Try reading the data on my website or watching the videos.

Not all CNS infections are caused by bacteria, and not all CNS infections
necessarily use or require IV treatments.

Regarding Lyme in particular, I know both ILADS docs and non-ILADS ID docs
who do not default to IV treatments for patients with CNS involvement.
Instead, they use oral meds (alone or in combination; antibiotics and/or
azoles) and see how the patients respond clinically. If the patients do
not respond, then the physicians might try bicillin, and if that doesn't
work, then try cef. There are also many physicians who use cookbook
methods and default to IV treatments from the beginning.

It's important not to confuse theoretical treatment guidelines with applied
treatment practices.

Phillips is not too bright.

I disagree.

Phillips is a bright guy, and he has experience not only as a LLMD but also
as a Lyme researcher. He is one of the most knowledgeable people about
tick-borne diseases that I've met. He also is quite cognizant of the
benefits and risks (including carcinogenicity profiles) of the various
drugs that are used to treat Lyme, which is something that I can
emphatically state is not true of some other physicians I know.

Phillips also was a principal author of the ILADS position paper that
revealed the significant problems in Klempner's infamous NEJM article about
antibiotic treatments for Lyme. (1, 2)

Somehow, a Ms. K. Dickson got her name attached to that ILADS position
paper. I guess the docs threw you a bone to reward you for your testimony
to the FDA about the LymeRix vaccine. They probably now regret having done
so.

Who are the physicians who allegedly oppose IV treatment because they allegedly are being paid to do long-term studies on certain oral medications? What is your supporting evidence?

LOOK IT UP IN ALL THE LITERATURE.
http://actionlyme.org/THE_TREATMENT_OF_LYME_DISEASE.htm

CNS INFECTIONS GET IV TREATMENT

Not knee diseases.

Who do you think came up with the use of IV cef in
the first place?

THE BAD GUYS.

It's not in "all" the literature, and as I stated above, not all CNS
infections necessarily use or require IV treatments.
