Re: Notice to group..."the 3rd Man" is NOT Joel!!!

Hey, "Stubby"...I am really what I would call a "conservative Dem"...or
what we used to call that...

Old school conservative Dem is cool in my book. I may be tilting
towards that philosophy soon. I think we've played out the trickle
down/supply side economics for now. I'd like to see median income
start to move back up and to have our government actually enforce some
of the trade agreements (i.e. other countries must have min worker
rights & conditions), rather than just allowing them to take advantage
of us w/ their ultra cheap labor.

...we are really sort of Republicans who grew up on a straight ticket
Daley machine thing and can't break old habits...but the goo-goos have
got hold of the Party now. (Is "goo-goo" just a Chicago expression? It
means "good-government" types).

I think we are pretty much in agreement. The loons have infiltrated
much of the DNC. This is a serious problem 'cause it cuts down on our
viable choices. I'm considering hopping the fence over to dem so I can
take part in future primaries.

I was actually involved in Chicago politics fairly substantially in the
mid-eighties.

How much time did you do? Are you still on parole?

But it seems my own party doesn't want me anymore...and I think Sam
Nunn figured that one out, too...

I think you hit the nail on the head. Can't picture Nunn & Pelosi
seeing eye to eye on much. Sidenote: wish his NTI would focus more on
the loose nukes & bio weapons out of Russia.

...can you help?

Please advise.

Mojito (pronounced [mo'hi.to]) is a traditional Cuban cocktail which
became quite popular in the United States during the late 1980s, but
has recently seen a resurgence in popularity. This drink is a cousin of
the Brazilian cocktail, Caipirinha.

A mojito is traditionally made of five ingredients: mint, rum, powdered
sugar, lime juice, and club soda. Its combination of sweetness and
refreshing citrus and mint flavors are intended to mask the potent kick
of the rum.

p.s. Kristine Ragaglia loves mojitos. ;-)
