Trust the CDC and ALDF if you trust government to take good care of
you, like they take care of Gulf War veterans and the people of New
Orleans. Trust the CDC and ALDF if you trust people with money to make
on test kits and patents to have control over your healthcare
decisions. Trust CDC and ALDF if you trust people who have been quoted
in national media saying things like, "Lyme is a yuppie disease that
only rich suburbanites get," (Ostroff, CDC, at a meeting with
legislators in Chicago, 1997) and "Lyme is a socially acceptable
disease. You can talk about it at any
cocktail party." (ALDF exec director David Weld, USA Today). Trust CDC
and ALDF if you think it's ok to manipulate the definition of a disease
to fit into your plans for marketing a vaccine. Trust CDC and ALDF if
you believe that taking their cookbook cure of 2 weeks will cure you
and any further problems - even the identical problems - are not Lyme
anymore but something else, even if no one has ever proved that 2 weeks
of treatment work.

If you trust the CDC and ALDF, you are a very trusting person and if
you have Lyme disease you will soon be sicker and on public assistance,
right where the insurance companies want you (or dead, they don't much
care). Remember, the nice doctors at ALDF are insurance company
consultants and they only want the best for you. As long as it doesn't
cost anything, that is.

If you trust "CaliforniaLyme@xxxxxxx," who masquerades under other
identities in an attempt to mislead and confuse, never reveals his/her
own name, and posts misinformation - well, I guess you deserve what you
get.

This site has been ruined by people like CaliforniaLyme. Fortunately,
there are now many moderated alternatives for people seeking
information. I suggest you abandon this site to CaliforniaLyme and
his/her friends and seek help elsewhere. LymeNet is a good place to
start.
