Really don't know...but bringing in new people...changing the lineup
while maintaining control of the product... could be an extremely
effective way to make sure your "vision" or, maybe, your "version" is
being reproduced and not paritcularly challenged within the scientific
community.

You work with "the man" on something like this...a career moment...I
bet you later find you have a vested interest in defending it...and
him...and the conclusions that you all came together on.

So, bringing in new people into the deal is probably a not ineffective
control methodology, I would guess.
