The diagnosis of Lyme disease is a clincial diagnosis, supported by
serology (that means bloodwork, antibody tests, the ELISA/Western
Blot)...
....and the results of those tests ALONE do NOT "rule in, rule out" a
clinical diagnosis of Lyme disease...and that is according to the CDC.
Yet, despite that, the LDA recently issued a statement where they
demonstrated that they believed new treatment guidelines issued by the
IDSA require either a "classic" bullseye rash, or positive serology...
....in contradiction to what the CDC, itself, has maintained for years,
and apparently, they think, somehow over-rules CDC policy.
Get it, "horse's ass"?
