Re: How hard is this to understand? Why doesn't the LDA seem to know how to diagnose Lyme disease?

all these fine points....The tests come back from the lab with positive

and memorized the
fine points of any kind of testing? Shoot, many screening tests are
far from really acurate. These people look at positive or negative, and
their asses are covered. That's defensive medicine and defensive
medicine rules. The idea that they are passionate sleuths, sorting out
the nuances of disease diagnoisis is almost bazzare. Unless of course
its friend or family or the client is a lawyer. . I don't know what the
LDA position is, but mine is that the IDSA guidelines are so complex
that they are only going to worsen an already tragic
story.

I wouldn't just point out GP docs. My experience with the top ID doc at
the "prestigious" UT medical branch was I quote "Lyme is crazy talk".
When my LLMD retired and I looked for another doc who treated Lyme I
was repeatedly told that they did not do Lyme. This is 4-5 docs who did
this. I repeat...these are ID docs who do not do "lyme". Had no idea
they picked and choosed with pathogens are worth their time.

As far as the test it's there to mainly obfuscate the matter. A good
LLMD will repeat the test over time. Due to antigen shifts eventually
everyone who has borrelia will test positive. (or so stated my LLMD.)
With borrelia infection the patient must become literate to not only
the symptoms but the "alternative" cures. If not their chances are
fairly hopeless.
