For two weeks solid around here the media talked about nothing else.
Stories about what the Bears players had for lunch led the local news
in front of the usual assorted homicides and disasters or sluts
getting out of limos sans panties. It gets to be extreme
overkill...and I was at the point where I just wanted them to play the
f--king game and get it over with.

It's basically for the amusement of the plebians...as it always has
been. The empire provides good games for the amusement of the
populi...so they don't get overly concerned about the fact that a
dragon has swallowed the sun and isn't going to spit it back out until
April.


Yep pretty stupid to bet against manning but I cant stand the guy.
Crying about play calling all the time. PUTZ. and dawd that D-line
sucked. Burlacher is the only guy who sucked it up. Oh well let
emotion take over reasoning and you deserve to get beat.-

It's a game of emotion, Brent...even at the pro level.

Urlacher...gets a lot more attention than he probably deserves because
he is a reasonably skilled athlete (white) in a game increasingly
dominated by African-American athletes.

He has trouble shedding blockers.
