Especially when that the vaccine is not 100 percent effective and the vaccine's effectiveness depends on people receiving three doses over a one-year period.
It's much simpler and cheaper to treat those people who get bitten with a single dose of doxycycline, isn't it?
And those who missed the tick bite and who's immune system doesn't eradicate Borrelia, well that must be a very small group. But luckily a few weeks of doxy will cure them.
A Lyme vaccine sounds very cost-INeffective..
