My husband just recently started working at a second job. He came

work up and asked me if I could put blankets on top of him and hold
him, he said he was freezing. His whole body was shaking vigorously
and his teeth were chattering. He was not running a fever and he was
not sick. This went on for about 30 minutes. The next day he said he
felt like he had been beat and did not feel like doing anything. This
is the 3rd time he has did something like this in the last 8 years.
Has anyone experienced anything like this or know someone who has? I
cannot seem to get him to go see a physican.

Thanks,

Hi Ang--
It sounds like your hubbie has something serious-- it might or it
might NOT be Lyme. Does he work as a landscaper or in the ourdoors a
lot? Does he mow your lawn and is there brush nearby? Do you live
in an area with ticks? Do you have a dog or cat that might bring
ticks into the house?

I gardened in my yard yesterday and personally found 2 ticks trying to
crawl up my legs-- so they are out in force now!!!. ( I killed the
suckers before they could attach and I will spray chemicals today..)
Strangely, my hubbie was out there all day planting apple trees and
trimming his raspberry canes, and he never gets a tick on!! The luck
of the Irish-- they just don't like his smell!!

(I guess that explains why our dog never touches his underwear or
socks either!!)

Seriously, if you hubbie works outdoors, then his symptoms might be
Lyme. Has he ever had a large skin rash with a bullseye? He is
sensitive to light? Please urge him to go to the doctor as soon as
possible. I hope he does not have Lyme, but even if he does-- only
about 20% of people continue have bad symptoms such as memory
problems and arthritis-- after treatment with doxycycline.
(Then again--- only 30% of Europe's population died in the plague--
and today we consider that pretty BAD odds!)

Best of luck Ang-- and do force your hubbie to the doctor-- he has
nothing to lose...
