In the West of England there are many opportunities to acquire a bite
from a hard bodied tick.
One removed recently had given rise to the classic red annulus anf
radila lines of inflamation. Myy local regional hospital were unable
to test the tick for lymes bacteria.
Previously the Radcliffe (Oxford) found a tick on a friend during a
seperate proceedure.
The tick probably acquired in Surrey (Richmond Park) we tested andd
found to be a carrier.
How difficult is the diagnosis from the tick, how is it done? should
this be available elsewhere?
