The problem McSweegan, is that when you write your articles, you almost
masquerade as a scientist for respectability, the esteemed
microbiologist, while your writing sounds like an amateur investigative
reporter with an a-priori bias and bad sources. As a scientist you can
be either a rationalist or an empiricist but not both at the same time.
To play both sides makes you about as fair and balanced as fox news.
Pick a side and a profession and do one of them intellectual and
professional justice; Otherwise you will continue to be a punching bag
by confounding people with your apparent glib ignorance of the broader,
more in depth research available on your topics
