Re: More lymenet herxes?

Herxing and floxing. Great stuff.

And hey...you know, sometimes people THINK its a bad side effect, but
don't worry, its just a herx!

And did you know there's no way to tell? You know, between a bad
reaction and a herx?

Bart, I think an actual herx CAN happen with bacteriostatic drugs. J/H
reactions to penicillin in syphilis have been reported, in fact, I
think there were the first ones reported.

I know, day two of minocycline I had fever and shakes and sweats bad
headache.
And it lasted a few hours. I don't know if that was a j/h reaction,
but it only lasted one afternoon then I was OK. I was a little dizzy
for a few days...well, lightheaded maybe is a better description...but
that subsided as well.

However, I have to say, the bad reactions people get from the
floroquinones (sp?) are bad reactions, not month long herxes....

However, why do some Lymenet folks and some LLMDs think diflucan, for
yeast, is effective against Lyme? Is there some real study on this? Or
is it anecdotal?
