And let me explain something else about IP addresses.

There are static IP addresses and dynamic IP addresses.

Since I use AOL as my browser, and post through AOL using WINDOWS
VISTA and the embedded Internet Browsers IE 7.0, every time I sign on
I am assigned a new IP address from a range owned by AOL. If I posted
using Internet Explorer alone simply through my ISP, I would have a
static address like some other people who post here (like the one from
Crofton MD for example).

The range depends on where you are posting from so my IP address might
trace back to places other than Latitude 40.7488 Longitude -73.9846
NYC NY USA PLANET EARTH sometimes. 99% of the time it says NYC because
that is where I am. Occasionally it may say something else, not
because I am travelling back and forth but because the dynamic IP
addresses are assigned based on availability starting with the closest
to my geographic address but sometimes ranging to NJ, CT etc.

But I am posting from NYC which is why my IP address traces back to
there 99% of the time. If I were posting from CT it would 99% of the
time trace back to there or NJ 99% of the time from there.

Yours kathleen is dynamic. It traces back to Michigan and Virginia and
other places though we know you're posting from Connecticut. That is
because you're posting through comcast in connecticut but the range of
IP addresses they own are all over the place and their system of
dynamic assignment works over their entire network and is switched
through comcast and sometimes for some reason AT&T either at another
location or using a mobile computer or jacking into someone else's
wireless network or maybe because you're posting through the idiots
who host your psychotic mess of a website.

Unfortunately you basically have no idea what you're talking about.

Which is why a week ago or so you said I was posting from Virginia
where AOL is located, you don't even know what you're looking up, the
location of the IP address, the location of the owner of that IP
address (AOL IS in va which is why you thought that).
