Well...very UN-scientific analysis to follow:
If you are still early...then I would guess you probably aren't going
to notice a problem from moderate use.
For late-stage with full-blown symptoms...ugh. I would NOT. Simply
because drinking, even fairly moderate amounts seemed to cause fairly
severe exacerbation of symptoms.
Basically, I pretty much quit because of this. It seems as though
quite a few Lyme patients ultimately quit altogether.
There is also the issue of whether alcohol interferes with antibiotic
absorption.
Also...the psych issues. Bouts of depression are routinely attributed
to late Lyme. Not a good idea probably to drink while depressed.
And...there is "drinking"...and then there is DRINKING.
"Drinking" a few with dinner...probably allright...DRINKING...well,
that's what made me quit.
