Dear Jill,
In defense of your husband:
1.) If he's starting to get a gut, he's over eating. It's not wendy's
it's not the french fries...it's too much food. It's really that
simple. Some people go through phases of eating too much. It could be
just normal, or it could be something is bothering him. Nagging him
probably isn't going to help.
2.) The food at these places is just food. It's not poison. It's not
going to cause him to keel over from a heart attack tommorow. However
many of these places do serve a lot of trans-fats which are unhealthy
over the long term. The point is, you'll probably be better served by
not worrying too much and making sure he gets enough fiber, fruits and
veggies when he comes home for dinner.
3.) Don't turn into a doting freak overnight, but find things you can
do with/to him to burn the calories.... If indeed he's really a
teenager, he should like that...;)
