In another thread someone posted so-called information about long
waiting lists under Canada's beleagured universal health care system.
Universal because theoretically everyone has basic health care.
Beleagured because a group of right-wing ideologues connected to the
American for profit health care is backing if not entirely responsible
for the incursion of private, for-profit health care into Canada.

Canada's health care system was designed to respond to need not greed.

Last week a friend fell. Four hours later, she was being prepped for
hip replacement surgery which followed immediately.

A couple months ago a friend hurt her knee golfing. She was put on a
waiting list for her non-emergency MRI. She saw a physio and used a
little ice and common sense until her turn came up.

Need. Not greed.

That peurile example of exreacense called the Fraser Institute created
the pseudo-information about Canadian surgery waiting times. Did
anyone notice
pages in that post linked to an American right-wing website?

Just prior to our national election last month inflammatory stories
about the AIDS immigrants splattered through the media like the
proverbial *** hitting the fan.

Who could have done such a thing?

My money's on the Fraser Institute: a 'think tank' and oxymoron:

A really shitty oxymoron.
