Here is another in a series of studies showing that using whole grains
etc. in place of refined versions of similar carbs modifies the risk for
metabolic disorders. It is also supports the mixed diet where whole carb
sources combined with fish and dairy as protein sources and mono fats in
place of more saturated fat sources provide for good health and lowered
risk factors in several areas. Higher saturated fat sources are also
associated with increased risk of metabolic disorders.
