Perhaps... if by providers you mean health insurance companies whose
CEOs and CFOs typically pull down 7-8 figure salaries.

The health insurance companies did recently lose a large lawsuit for
unethical payment practices that shortchanged physicians so they are
understandably complaining.

The health insurance companies understandably do not want to lose
their entire market to univeral health care.

Many physicians stand to earn more take home pay if there were
universal health care because they would stop "eating" the costs of
caring for the uninsured.
