This legislation is not really about obesity or heart disease.
It's really about Acrylamides. These potent carcinogens found in
grain and potato products are far more deadly than tobacco products.
At the levels at which they have been discovered, a single slice of
bread is more than equal to several packs of cigarettes.
The statistical correlation between grain products and cancer was
first discovered in 1843 ( 120 years more obvious than tobacco). The
reason for this was only discovered in 2002 when Swedish scientist
began to measure food products for Acrylamides.
You should see the look the people at Frito-Lay HQ give you when you
utter the word "Acrylamide". They are in the same mind-set that the
tobacco executives were in 20 years ago! The PubMed studies are
enough to scare anyone.
