Australia can. I suspect there would be massive political reaction,
but then our stupid government's jumping into Iraq and Afghanistan
with Bush was not greeted with too much reaction. The economy is too
good unfortunately, and the many dumbfucks in Australia think that
out government is responsible for this.

Total bull***. We have a political perception of a shortage of
hospita lbeds. Like every other country in the world. For instance, I
am and have also been in the past on the list for an elective
procedure that I have no intention of accepting at the moment. I'm
just on it for convenience so that if it becomes urgent in the distant
future, I might get a head start, and at least get to see a specialist
for guidance in the meantime.
This silly bull*** about hospital bed shortages is well shot out of
the water by the huge rejection of the opposition's promise to
eliminate all waiting lists for over 75s. It is a mirage and no-one
wants it. Even if it were real, it accounts for a tiny part of the
health care budget. It only means that available beds are temporarily
"mothballed" to save a little overtime on the hospital's budget.
Everyone gets what they need here. Come back when you can say the same
about your country. :-)
