I don't think the double blind research has been done. On the other
hand, check out Langsjoen's presentation to the FDA:

It reviews an enormous amount of in vitro, lab animal and retrospective
studies.

I mean, we only trust animal studies so far. BUT. I read the study
where they used statins to induce rhabdomyolosis in rabbits. CoQ10
supplements stopped it cold.
After reviewing that, I came to the conclusion that IF I ever needed to
take a statin, (I'm borderline for indication) I'd definitely want to
take CoQ10.
