I am an MD practicing natural medicine (including nutritional and
herbal, environmental and detoxification techniques) and the Medical
Director of the Natural Solution Foundation. As a clinician with 35
years of clinical experience, I understand just what the implementation
of CODEX would mean to us all, both the healthy and the chronically
ill. The few nutrients which will remain to us will be available at
doses so low that they have virtually no clinical effect either for
health promotion and preventive medicine or health retrieval and the
treatment of chronic, degenerative or acute conditions.
I view CODEX as an unmitigated disaster which will cause needless
suffering and pain, disability and death and leave the population of
the world with virtually no legal options for health maintenance and
advanced medical treatment except drugs or neglect. Traditional
medical care, including Ayurveda, Traditional Oriental Medicine and
herbal wisdom will be outlawed, a problem with which India, for
example, is already grappling.
The pharmaceutical alternative will be legitimized and instiutionalized
even more than it currently is. Everything else will either be
de-legitimized by the draconian regulations of CODEX, marginalized
through propaganda, unavailability of high quality nutrient supplies
and sky-rocketing cost or criminalized through the development of the
inevitable black market in supplements and nutrients.
