Who says that it does not cause harm? They are just talking about the
most obvious, and most often deadly, problem. That's what they call a
"disease," but until you are in bad shape, they tell you to take an
aspirin. Hans Selye talked about this decades ago. Read his book, The
Stress of Life, if you want to understand it in more detail.
As to the egg noodles, keep in mind that a lot of grain products are
made with powdered eggs or dairy, and they are the worst, in terms of
oxidized cholesterol.
