Re: Did omega 3s and 6s kill the baby anteater?

It's actually a new low from you, Matti. How do you know what they
were fed. What is a "special insectivore chow?" Do you know for a
fact that no PUFAs were added?

I asked a question. I did not make a claim, as you always do (and
without relevant evidence to back them up).

And as I've said over and over again here, the key point is to allow
Mead acid to take over for arachidonic acid, not whether or not one
eats trace amounts of omega 6s or 3s. I've said over and over again
that there is no way to avoid trace amounts of omega 6 PUFAs. You seem
to enjoy misrepresenting those you disagree with, which is a good
indication that you cannot win the debate on the evidence alone.

So why don't you tell us exactly what is the "essential fatty acid"
hypothesis? How much does one need to consume, what will happen if one
avoids any major source of omega 3s and 6s, and how long will it take
to see these "deficiecny" symptoms? I'm waiting to see these symptoms
after about 4 years now. I've seen many benefits, and have had no
problems. The professional literature says I should have shown
deficiency signs within 2 weeks. How do you explain this? How do you
explain the vast scientific literature which demonstrates how dangerous
dietary PUFAs are, in every disease context possible? There is no such
literature on the very stable Mead acid.

In science, if you want to make a claim, you formulate a hypothesis
that is specific and clear. Then you present evidence that you think
supporsts it and allow others to examine that evidence. I am willing
to do the experiments or to repeat them in the case of highly flawed
ones, such as Burr & Burr (1929/1930). But nobody, including yourself,
if willing to take me up on any of my offers.

Instead, you attack me for asking questions, or presenting a reasonable
critique of claims that make no sense. The animal appears to have died
from liver problems, judging from the source you cite. So I will
propose another experimen:. We will get a couple of dozen inexpensive
lab animals that are a good model for liver damage and subject them to
a substance known to damage livers. One group will be fed a 30% fish
oil and canola oil diet, while the other group will be fed fresh
coconut oil. If the coconut oil group lives as long or longer than the
other, you will pay for all expenses. If the coconut oil group does
not lie as long, I will pay for all expenses. According to you,
without omega 3 PUFAs, the coconut oil group should die young of
"essential fatty acid deficiency," so you should jump at the chance to
take me up on this offer.

I am waiting...
