"You are absolutely correct! Growth hormones do make growth possible, and
after the genetic blueprint for growth has been met, the most powerful
growth hormone in the human body (IGF-1, identical to cow IGF-1) begins to
be bound to proteins and less and less of it is active thus preventing
further growth. The only thing in the human body that has no defined
growth limits is cancer cells. Add more IGF-1 from cow milk and cancer
cells can proliferate."
Good to see you now accknowledge many hormones in common across many
species. We continue to produce growth hormones because cells continue to
reproduce and the hormones are part of the feedback loop to prompt cell
division for cell replacement. Those hormones are created in our body
daily in much greater amounts then the level we might consume in milk
products. There are also counter substances as part of the control system
to maintain the hormone activity within normal parameters. Cell division
goes wacky for reasons individual to each kind of cancer.
