A nail. Calories is the nail. But calories mean squat. If you count
calories, you fail to lose weight. If you count carbs, you will lose
weight. Even if you can make a low-carb diet work within your
calorie-is-the-nail framework, it is irrelevant. Because counting the
calories and restricting high calorie fat fails to work. Yet, counting
the carbs works. Stop trying to make it fit the calorie nonsense. It is
a waste of time.
