Am I the only one?

I'm a 51 year old, non smoking, social drinking, not obese (6' 188lbs)
male. I excersise for 20 minutes about three to four times a week, plus
the normal "Honey-do list" excersise. My annual bloodwork came back a
shocker...my trig's were way out of wack, if you can read Canadian
numbers:
Total 6.4
Tri. 4.9
Hdl 1.1
the chol/HDL ratio was 5.8
the LdL was so wack he didn't even give it to me stating it's numbers
were skewed by the TRI reading.
my BP readings were good averaging 123/76/62
Doc put me on Lipidil EZ for a month, and I abstained from anything
that
may contain any Transfats or over abundance of bad stuff (including
beer and chips *sniff*) and stepping up my fitness program. I lost 12
lbs and could lose another 10. IF my latest tests don't come back with
positive news, I will be very concerned. Has anyone else been in this
situation? Could letting a few things "slide" over a one year period
really produce such dismal results? Iwas in the Miltary for over 25
years, and I was required to have regular flight exams as well as full
medicals after age fourty. The results were always great..not good,
great. Now it appears I'm falling apart!
