Re: Research, low gi and high protein diets compared for heart risk

But the research was about heart disease risk, not weight loss. Does
this have anything to do with the results, a sponsor:

"Meat and Livestock Australia."

The study didn't directly measure heart disease events. It was a 12-week
study! It looked at a variety of effects that relate to heart disease.
Weight loss and % fat are certainly relevant.

As to whether the sponsors influenced the results or conclusions, I can't
say. I can't even really make sense out of the abstract, and the news
reports are worse.
