Wildly misinterpreted really. HIV causes AIDS...what's unclear is HOW
it causes AIDS. People who aren't HIV infected don't see their CD4
count plunge to zero over time.
By contrast, Duesberg has nothing sensible to say about that
whatsoever and never has. "Drugs" don't cause AIDS.
AZT's and other AIDs drugs have been shown to have side effects that
very closely mimicks the symptomology of AIDs.
AZT may cause anemia and muscle wasting. However it does NOT cause
CD4+ T cells to plummet to zero, which happens when people are NOT on
AIDS drugs. To the contrary. And indeed, lower doses can work as well
with fewer side effects, lowered HIV load and increase in T cells.
And many recreational
drugs have been clearly shown to suppress the immune system. So your
blanket statement of drugs not causing aids is misleading.
"Suppressing" the immune system is not the same as T cell counts
dropping to zero and developing oddball opportunistic infections like
Pneumocystis or MAI. Heroin doesn't cause that. Cocaine in any of its
forms doesn't cause that.
Trying to say drugs cause AIDS is just nonsense. They can CERTAINLY be
harmful--even lethal--in their own ways. But that is NOT the same as
AIDS.
It's just a ridiculous conflation of issues that shows a deeply
confused mind that does not know the facts.
