Low blood sodium: What diet is best?

A person with low blood sodium and ascites is taking prescription
diuretics (lasix and one other) and is on a low-sodium diet (2000 mg
max). Is that the proper diet for this situation? Should there be a
limitation on fluid intake? Thanks. Ed
