Hi,
I've had a achy prostate/bladder/rectum area for about 3 months. The
first urologist didnt check anything but put me on Cipro for a month.
My major achiness went away but still had some achiness and odd muscle
or prostate contractions during orgasms. So, he wanted to do a
cystoscopy. I scheduled it for 3 weeks out and saw another urologist,
hoping he would at least check my prostate fluid. He didn't, he felt
the prostate and said it didnt feel enlarged and I should try Ibuprofan
and alpha blocker. One week on these meds and I'm not feeling much
better.
The weird thing is: I have aches and am uncomfortable in many areas.
1. At times I can't button my pants cause it causes my bladder area to
be uncomfortable. 2. When I squeeze my sphincter muscle it feels like
something is inside my rectum.(if my prostate isnt enlarged, why would
I feel that) 3. When the 2nd doc checked for enlargement, his
checking really hurt my prostate...i had achy pain that whole night.
Other than that, I have had NO pain, no urinary problems. I had major
ache all through the area but it went away mostly from the Cipro yet
the 2nd doc doesn't think I have bacterial prostatitis.
So, I have uncomfortable bladder, prostate area, and rectum, still,
after 3 monts. The whole are from the rectum to my penis feels odd at
times. Do others of you with prostatitis have all these different
symptoms? Or are you more specific? I'm getting frustrated,
especially with no one checking fluids, etc. PSA test was
negative...btw.
Thanks for any help...I've read a million things on the web...just
trying to find out if anyone has same types of symptoms.
Also, have Alpha Blockers made anyone fatigued and somewhat dizzy all
day? I'm feeling like this even though i take the thing at night...not
fun.
Thanks,
James. (Seattle)
