Prostatitis and joint pain and numbness

Hi all,

I was diagnosed with prostatitis in January of this year. Midway
through the initial bout of prostatitis my right knee was almost
impossible to walk on (I couldn't walk up or down stairs). I didn't
make any connection at the time and the knee pain subsided after a
couple of weeks. There was no actual injury to my knee - it just
happened spontaneously.

I'm currently experiencing another bout of prostatitis at the moment
and I'm having joint pain in various joints, particularly my left groin
and both wrists. I'm also having a loss of sensation and numbness in my
fingers and I'm really not sure if it is related.

I've read about Reiter's syndrome, and what I'm experiencing does
appear similar in many ways. I'm a New Zealander living in New York
without health insurance, so I can't really afford to have too many
doctor visits.

Does this sound like Reiter's syndrome. Is it difficult to diagnose? Is
it a very serious problem, or can you live quite a normal life with it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Paul
