IRS, it is the only non-profit devoted exclusively to prostatitis and
chronic pelvic pain syndrome in the USA.
The Prostatitis Foundation has helped obtain over 20 million dollars
in federal research money for the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
to study prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain.
The Prostatitis Foundation works with the NIH to inform patients about
upcoming clinical trials.
The Prostatitis Foundation worked with the NIH to come up with the
Prostatitis Symptom Score and the Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
classification system.
The Prostatitis Foundation purchases medical articles from peer
reviewed medical journals and publishes them on Prostatitis.org for
visitors to see.
The Prostatitis Foundation is a support and advocacy group.
The Prostatitis Foundation distributes a newsletter.
The PF is an all-volunteer organization with volunteer directors.
Great news! The RFA, Multi-disciplinary Approach to the Study of
Chronic Pelvic Pain (MAPP) Research Network (RFA-DK-07-003) is now
published on the NIH website (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-
