Blood after ejaculation for the first time

I am a 47 year old man who has been diagnosed with BPH about four
years ago. I am on Flomax and I am for the most part used to frequent
urination. For the past four or five months I have been sleeping
through the night except for when I drink too much just before bed.



Last night I had spicy thai food which I have not had in a while. I
had a very bad urge to urinate on the way home. I got home in time and
relieved myself. I have had flareups like this before and am not that
concerned with it.



Later that night after ejaculation I had the urge to urinate but could
not right away. When I did I noticed a few drops of blood in the
toilet. It looked like a clot as well in the toilet.
Afterwards I did not notice any blood anytime I urinated. I have not
ejaculated since and naturally am not a little hesitant to do so.



I have never had this happen before and naturally am concerned. I am
not sure if the spicy food aggravated the prostate to the degree that
this would happen.I had a complete physical last Friday and passed.
Blood test came back normal for the most part except for cholesterol.

Any help would be appreciated! I have an appointment with my
urologist the 10th of March but would like a little peace of mind
before then if possible.
