Sheila a/k/a 14tonks, I do enjoy reading your informative posts and just wanted
to thank you. I have really learned a lot from this NG, and YOU, when it comes
to computers.
To the original poster, I used to have a Gateway that had Windows ME on it, and
the thing crashed just one week after the warranty ran out. From what I have
heard, the Windows ME isn't a very good Windows operating system and has flaws.
I tried that feature one time that is supposed to restore your computer to its
original state, and that was a nightmare!
I got the computer fixed, put Windows 2000 on it, sold it, and I now have a
Windows XP operating system on a Compaq Presario.
However, I work on a Compaq with Windows 98, so that I can shut down completely
in DOS. The Windows XP is not 100-percent compatible with my WP5.1 and
FlashForward macro program.
