Well, just burning the bodies is not the same as cremation. That probably
is illegal, and quite possibly an animal crematorium might find it
impractical to deal with large farm animals, even if their owners are
willing to pay the charges. One would have to check about what services
were available in your area.
My point was simply that while many states have laws restricting what you
can do with human ashes, I believe none of them have any restrictions on
what you can do with animal ashes. Therefore it is clearly not an issue of
the public health or pollution, just something the funeral homes have
lobbied for, where restrictions exist. Of course, that is a separate issue
from restrictions prohibiting you from scattering the ashes on someone
else's private property, such as the local stadium, or on municipal
property, such as the local park.
