Right, but make sure the money can be accessed _before_ the estate is
settled, unless you are certain waiting for reimbursement will present no
financial hardship to those who have to make the arrangements. That's why I
suggested something like a joint account.
I have a space marked by a stone in my mother's family plot in the
semi-abandoned 300 year-old graveyard up in the Catskills. I arranged for it
to be placed when I had hers done, and I told my nephews that if they don't
get around to adding a date of death for me, people can just think I lived
forever. All they have to do is cut their way through the underbrush and
dump my ashes in the general vicinity some day. Or they can bring their own
shovel, if they wish. (There are no legal restrictions on what anybody can
stick in those old original-settler plots.)
