Becky, I don't think it's irrational at all. I cried for hours this
afternoon. For a multitude of reasons. That man died brutally so I cried
for that, I cried for his family who have to live knowing how he died, I
cried for the innocence that my sons still have but will lose soon
enough. I'm grief-stricken about that man and his family and about all
of us and our world. I'm TERRIFIED that we won't get out of that country
soon enough and more and more young men and women will die -- and that
if it goes on long enough it'll be my sons or grandsons.

This situation is a political hot potato and I'm not really a political
person but I just can't help thinking that if we weren't there, we
wouldn't be losing all of these lives. I want to throw out everybody who
doesn't belong here in the US (and that's so vague, I know, how do you
define who "doesn't belong"?), bring all of our people home, and fence
up the borders and hang out the "no vacancy" sign. Every night before I
go to bed here at home I check that the doors are locked and then I turn
on the alarm system. I want to do that for our country.

So I understand. If it's irrational, there's probably a lot of that
going around today.
