Having worked remote with EMR I have to take exception to the above statement.
I, personally, would rather do other work. I wouldn't even do it for $75/hr
now. I had no problem with what I was paid as my rate is above average for this
area. The EMRs are not going to be adapted for MT work as these programs are
being sold on the premise of bypassing the necessity of using MTs.
In the same practice I was working for one of the MTs has to work 16 hours a
day to get in an 8-hour day. She works remote from a longer distance than I
had. As long as she's willing to do that this practice isn't going to look for
alternatives. I have better things to do with my time and working remote isn't
one of them!
