I know that's a joke, but I can't understand why I can't keep a computer
running for a year without something going wrong.

I was in the throes of this thing today, got a telemarketing call right when I
was peering at the screen trying to understand what I was reading, some real
technical site.

"Hello, this is _____ from Sony. I'm calling about your computer. Are you
satisfied with your computer?"

I said, Feller, this is the wrong day to ask me that.

He was trying to sell me $360 worth of warranty and I told him he'd have to
call me back some other time, I don't have the resources to think about it
right now!
