I have AOL and Comcast. I also have a router between the two computers. My SIL
told me for the upteenth time that I do not need a firewall with the router and
he seems to get upset that I don't take his advice. I was told by a friend that
I should have an additional firewall. Now I am reading on AOL that they offer
McAfee firewall for free and recommend downloading it. So the question is, do
you need an additional firewall when you use a router.
I got a message today from someone I don't know claiming email came from me
with a virus attached. I ran Nortons (which is automatically updated and I
manually update at least twice a week) and came up clean, and then ran
Housecall and came up with no viruses. I did a trojan scan and came up clean.
How did he get an email from me then? I changed my password on AOL just in case
since all those screen names had been stolen.
Thanks
Barbara
