I think that is a wonderfully realistic attitude and I wish you luck :)

You might want to get in touch with some of the online AAMT members you
can reach them through the AAMT public forum, I believe several of them
are planning to take it and they can be a pretty supportive group :)

I did not have much formal education other than 2 semesters in a vocational school that had a little transcription course that didn't mean much at all...there just weren't a lot of places when I started out that you could actually enroll in a full-fledged transcription program. ...
