OT Not politics, for a change

I know I mentioned that Rae told me about Netflix a couple weeks ago, and I
just want to let you know my opinion of it so far. First of all, the two-day
turnaround is holding true.

Secondly, I'm curious about what you all pay if you go to movie theaters
including the food you buy there. Is it $10 a person or less or, shuddering at
the thought, more than that? Do you think you pay more than $22 a month for
movies?

Tomorrow, I will probably have the three "Lord of the Rings" DVDs in my
mailbox. Did any of you see them all yet in a theater, and do you think just
these three movies are worth my $22 monthly fee?

Then I will be getting the movies from the list below three at a time and can
even rearrange the order of them. Some I've seen before, and some I haven't.
As you can see, I have rather eclectic taste leaning towards science fiction
and British films.

Can any of you give me an opinion of any of these newer ones so I can weed out
any clinkers? I haven't been in a movie theater since 1989 so am only able to
go by other's reviews. Also, have you seen any of the older ones yet? Do you
even have some recommendations of others I might find interesting?

Here is my Netflix rental queue so far:
