Does he have any military connections? If so, he could get housing on the
military base really cheap. I remember when my ex was in the Reserves, we
could have gotten a place to stay in Hawaii for something like $15 per
night. I don't know exactly how that works, but maybe someone else here
does?
Another remote possibility is the Association for Research and Enlightenment
(A.R.E.). I think they might have a hostel-type setup there, but I'm not
