That was my suggestion to him as well. This all just came to my attention a
few hours ago but I will work on it tomorrow. Dan is heading down there late
Thursday night, to arrive on Friday.

I've spoken extensively with Nick and he feels much better about staying. As
a matter of fact, before I got in touch with him at one point, his wife
called saying he was heading back to Michigan tomorrow. Now, he's ready to
sign his contract tomorrow instead. I told him that if he headed back to
Michigan now, he'd never teach again and would just work at McDonald's the
rest of his life because he'd be too afraid of taking a chance again. (Not
that there's anything wrong with that, but that isn't really what he wants
to be doing with his life. He loves teaching.)

If we have to give him my whole paycheck, oh well. We'll either borrow from
*my* mom or pay late charges on this month's bills. Not like it will be the
first time, LOL.
