Thanks for the prayers, Dee. We certainly were blessed. We had 13 inches of
rain today and 84 knot?/mph? gusts on the coast and in the high 70s around here
with sustained winds in the mid-high 60s and only lost our picnic table. We
had five trees fall onto a fence but nothing that cannot be easily fixed. Some
people down the street actually got flood waters into their houses. The sad
thing is, we are not in a "flood zone" and around here if you are in a "flood
zone" you have to carry a separate flood insurance. I don't think any of them
have flood insurance. If you don't have flood insurance, the only damage they
will cover is if the water comes from "above", not if it comes from "below".
