One of my daughter's friends has used nail polish to put her phone number on
her horse's coat in the event that the horse gets lost when Ivan comes.
No, shelters don't take pets. We have to evacuate tomorrow (Charlotte County)
and will have to take kitty with us. We will head toward Miami as we have a
friend there. I don't know if his complex allows pets; I forgot to ask him. But
even if not, we will have to smuggle her in. I know some people leave the
animals at home to fare the best they can, but it seems impossible to do that.
We are still hoping we see that cone go further and further west. Like you, I
feel terrible that it would mean someone else endures the misery, but this area
has had too much. Too much!
